Started in 23th of September, 1889, Nintendo started out as a toy and card game company in its early days of business.In result they created toys such as the Game and watch series in micro handheld consoles that were only able to display 8-bit black and white picture.
In 1985, Nintendo had transformed itself from a toy and trading card game company to a virtual gaming company.At the same time they released their first home console called the Famicon using a disc drive hardware to run games.
In 1986, Nintendo released their 4th generation console called the Nintendo entertainment system ,an upgrade from the disc technology of the Famicon.
In 1989,Nintendo released their second handheld console called the Nintendo game boy, enabling full fledge games on the go unlike their first held hand console back in 1886.
In 1996,Nintendo released a new home console namely the Nintendo 64 to compete with another large and successful game company in selling and marketing consoles at that time.
In 1998,Nintendo released the game boy colour which allows for colourised displays on the screen instead of the black and white display.

In 2007,Nintendo launched the wii which introduced motion controls into its system,a revolutionary feature at its time and is targeted towards family as its audience.
In 2011, Nintendo released its 6th and probably the final heldhand console called the 3ds, the successor to the ds.
In 2012, Nintendo released its 8th generation console named the wii u which includes a game pad as its main controller allowing for its A-symmetrical gameplay.
Finally in 2017, Nintendo released the Nintendo switch which allowed to be used at home, taking advantage of the large tv screen and also could be used as a hand held console allowing for it to be taken on the go.
